NO TV challenge

So our bishop challenged us to turn of the TV for a whole week. And to tell you the truth, it hasn't been too bad. The kids were a little cranky about it, but have adjusted. I have missed my reality shows...but I've been able to catch up on a little reading...should I be embarassed that Harry Potter has hooked me. I did the first book on CD a few months ago and read the second one. This week I read the third and have started the fourth! I LOVE IT. Tyler will kiss me good night and roll his eyes as he turns over to avoid the glare from my lamp as I have been up way past my bedtime reading about wizards and muggles. I am SO looking forward to tonight when the kids are in bed and I can get in bed, under the covers and start my book again!

We have been doing bad. I have not let the kids watch...except for Chloe when she is real tired and the girls are at school. And me..well, as soon as Bryan leaves for work and the girls are in bed and I am done doing my things...I turn it on real late at night...I cant sleep, thats my excuse!

And another one bites the dust!! Isn't sad how hooked you can get! Lance use to make fun of me to no end! But I loved them anyway and would read them as late as my eyes would let me. He always knew when one of the books came out that until I finished it, nothing was going to get done. Sad but true! Anyway, happy reading! I hope you enjoy them as much as I did. Oh, and I have another series for you to start when you finish with these!

I love to climb in bed and read! I really enjoy reading- now that it is just for fun! Glad that you are finally hooked on Potter. Have you read the Twilight series? That was another time in my life when I didn't get ANYTHING done!

I think its a great challenge. I also saw this idea on Oprah. Nick loves Harry Potter he has read all of them and made me stand in line at midnight when they came out! I love the movies. I just have a hard time reading books and staying focused. Maybe I'll try the tapes. Congrats on the job for Tyler, good luck on the move! Love you guys, the Adams

ERIKA...welcome welcome....i know Steve acutally bought me the the Order of the Phoenix for my birthday and i was STOKED!!! JUST PLEASE DO NOT READ THE BOOKS BEFORE YOU SEE THE MOVIES...they never match up and remarkably the books are even better though you have the basic plot line!! I cannot wait to come to FL and maybe you'll be up to having that HP movie marathon with Kara and I!!! I LOVE YOU !
